Fully machined billet timing tensioner to replace factory unit. This reduces the risk of the timing belt slipping at higher rpms by replacing the Supra's cast timing tensioner that is prone to cracking.
This is especially useful in higher HP 6spd Supras due to the intense transition between shifts. Auto cars will also benefit greatly from this product.
From the factory, the Supra' 2JZ engine is not an interference motor meaning that the piston and valve do not collide in the event of slipped timing. However, there are a number of aftermarket cams that do make the 2JZ into an interference engine which is an additional reason to run the SP Billet Timing Tensioner.
