Well, it’s finally springtime here in Chicago and opening day of Byron Dragway was this past Saturday. Our 350z has been done for a couple weeks and we’ve been awaiting some nice weather and the opening! We headed to the track and after a delayed opening we started to make some base boost runs. Since we were on our new version of the RPS Carbon Carbon clutch, and new SPL suspension we figured a couple base runs would help me get a feel for it.

First couple passes the track wasn’t hooking at all and I bogged a bit on them, clutch is more grabby so I just have to get used to slipping it. After a few passes and getting used to the clutch we ended up turning the boost up a bit and it resulted in a couple mid 9 second passes.  Here are some pics courtesy of “Panda” from www.thechicagogarage.org (Thanks)

I have been getting many calls… and I mean MANY calls about or boost actuated cutouts that we made. The biggest question is “When are they going to be ready to ship?” The answer to that is SOON!!! I am hoping by next week I should have some 3 and 4 inch units in stock. Soon after that I will have the 2.5 inch versions ready for sale to the public.

I am trying my best to get these out for you guys… but I (we) do not want to release a product until its been fully tested. Pricing for the cut outs will go as follows:

We are also going to offer a 3bolt flange style with an angle cut piece of stainless so you could just cut an opening on the exhaust and weld up the piece we provide (option to adding that “y” section).

We also have hobb’s switches and solenoids to use in conjunction if you want to set the boost level of where it opens. otherwise it will be about a 7-8psi fully open setting, or we can get different actuators for you to open at higher boost levels.

Update: 11.1.08 our shop 350z got deeper into the 9’s proving that the Nissan VQ- DE & HR is a very potent platform. We are now seeing what these cars are capable with the right components.
You will see 8’s on this factory 6 speed 350z yet!

SP Enters the 350z/G35 market! We are pleased to introduce our newest product, our SP350z Twin Turbo Kit for the Nissan 350z and Infinity G35. For the last 10 yrs we’ve built some of the most powerful Supra’s in the world, and we would now like to push the limits in the 350/G35 market. Our SP 350z is outfitted with our twin turbo kit using ball bearing , water cooled Precision turbo’s. Each turbo is capable of approximately 570hp. Our kit comes complete and can run base boost of about 9-10psi or go full tilt at 20+psi. We just made 462rwhp at base boost on our kit, a fuel system and the AEM engine management system we modify and make for the 350z. The above 462rwhp was on a completely stock untouched motor! We are going to push it a bit harder and then put in a fully built SP motor.

The kit is capable of 900+rwhp with the selected turbo’s. Our kit gives you the option of choosing smaller turbo’s for quicker spool and bit top end hp, or going with larger sized turbo’s for bigger hp. We are currently running RC 1200cc injectors and a CJ Motorsports Billet dual fuel pump hanger, however we have options of injector size, fuel system stages, etc..
